this isn't my rig, its my buddy jerry's...but when the K5 went over, I was in the back seat and it ripped off the floor! imagine being thrown around inside a roll cage with a rear seat belted to you and not attached to anything else! it was fun, though. I met jerry thru Colorado K5, and found out he lives less than 5 min away from me.
sorry, forgot specs: '77 K5, hot 350, auto of some sort, NP205, d60 with arb, 14 bolt with detroit locker, full cage, 44" tsl's.

I'm not familiar with the rear seat on these trucks. Don't the seat belts attach to the floor? If they don't, you made a good case for making the change.
And, did the seat bolts break, or the floor tear out?

Geeze, just noticed I forgot to post pics of my 70 K5 - must be because I haven't got to drive it yet - one of these days I will have it running - but the K20 has to come first.

mac67 - yep that is the one someone posted a link to a fishing board over on one of the fourms at the 67-72 board. Need to get the rear main seal repaired and slap in the 3/4 ton gear and she should be driveable. Okay, well, maybe a few other things to do, but nothing to major. Just focusing on the K20 at the moment.
