Hey guys. Being that I am pretty much a novice at this restoring/wrenching thing; I have searched around the net for "how to" books on restoration. I have basic mechanical knowledge and some "historical" experience in "bolt-on" hot rodding techniques from back in the 70s; but it wasn't until NOW that I decided to jump in and try a complete restoration/rod project. I figure probably most of you guys are in the "automotive industry" pretty much on a full time basis and was wondering if any of you had any suggestions for a "how-to" book or advice for the "plan" of turning an old 72' Chevy C-20 farm vehicle into a clean, tire smokin', custom, high revvin' rat or mouse powered pickup? (I dunno; maybe some of you are in the same boat as me; a deep love for hot rods, but a little timid about starting from the frame up?)

Haven't seen a book like that - what I use is the couple boards I visit. It might actually be better than a book because you can ask your specific question and you will get a bunch of different views on what works/how to do something. Always helpful for me.

Yukon is right, you can usually find what you nee on these truck boards. Here is another good source for info for anyone interested in hotrods and restoration: http://hotrodders.com/forums/
