I had a brainstorm a while back, And posted for photoshop help, This is what the result is. Caddy tail lights in the stepside.

This is not my truck, ( even though I wished it were)

It came out better then I thought it would, What ya'll think?

I think they make the back of the truck look too "tall"...... don't like them personally.

I would like them better with a roll pan instead of with a bumper.

And will you be running the late model bed or the stock bed?

Just curious??

looks pretty neat ... but I think some flush mounted LED's about 10-12" long would look even better.

Shane,

Those are available here,

http://www.stylinconcepts.com/part.cfm?PartID=398675&PartFamilyID=695&SubCategoryID=133&CategoryID=25

And the Caddy Conversion here:

I thought about these in a roll pan.

Is2blu,

I have the stock stepside bed, but if I could find the newer one locally before I start cutting and body work on this one, I would change this one out.

Ditto. I had the kit from Sir Michael's in my hands and decided to send them back. Also, they don't fit on the step fenders well because of the body line. And... if you do want to mount them like in Ron's pic, you'll need to figure out how to deepen that stake pillar as the Caddy lights are deeper than the stock post.

I like it..It's different from all those you see in the roll pans (no offense anyone..I like them too). Make use of that space like Piston said.

And that might give you the reduced depth you need to get them to fit in the rear stake pillars. Hmmm.

Are you guys meaning, To use the lights, such as Kenneth has in his roll pan, (or the straight ones in the link I posted above) but in the pillars ??

I also have a link to 59 caddy tail lights for the fenders.

http://www.goodtimeproductions.com/catalog.html

I got this one from Barn9 a while back..

I've always liked the 59 frenched lights.

I just can't decide,, And it's not as if I have to do it immediately.. I have the stock ones in place and working.

Exploring my options !!

I think the '59 Caddy pieces would look good, but using only one per side as a combo brake/tail. I've seen 4 (two on top of one another, per side) and it seems very busy, and I've seen 4 (two side by side, per side) and it reminds me of the standard Corvette light setup you see on so many late model Chevy trucks these days.

im with the above comment i like it but a rollpan would be a must..the bumper just dont look right with those lights to me.
